Bohemia

destination

Go on a cheap self-drive holiday to the western half of the Czech Republic, Bohemia. Here you can enjoy an active holiday filled with hiking and cycling in the beautiful countryside. In the enchanting towns you can rest in small and cosy restaurants and enjoy a good lunch with local specialities and a cold beer.

In the south of the Czech Republic lies Lake Lipnos, which is more than 42 km long and the largest lake in the country. On the western shore of the lake, nature is still untouched. The eastern coast is more civilised and has many interesting historic towns. Here the white beaches beckon especially on a hot summer's day.

Explore the area where you'll find Budweis (Ceské Budejovice), world famous for its Buvár brewery. Visit the town of Ceský Krumlov with its historic streets in the centre, Velsin with its Renaissance town hall, Gothic church and gabestok. Or take a trip to Locovice with its nature reserve and Certova Stena (Devil's Wall), just some of the sights the area has to offer.
