Poland destination image

Poland is an exciting country that offers many great holiday opportunities. This beautiful eastern country is part of the European Union and offers beautiful scenery, great beaches and interesting cities with cultural attractions. The many traditional cities such as Krakow, Poznan and Gdansk capture the essence of Polish culture and offer a unique atmosphere.

The north of Poland offers great experiences and a pleasant climate along the beautiful sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea coast. Many of the hotels along the coast offer fantastic wellness facilities, making the northernmost part of the country a perfect destination for a relaxing holiday. Enjoy a hike on the long beaches at your own pace and if you're lucky you might find some amber pieces. The seaside resorts of Kolobrzeg and Szczecin are also popular tourist destinations. Close to the German border, Szczecin is also the largest port city on the Baltic Sea. Along the coast you will also find the town of Darlowo and here you can visit the impressive Darlowo Castle, which belonged to King Erik of Pomerania, who spent the last 10 years of his life here. For a different experience, enjoy an organ concert in the beautiful Gothic cathedral in Kamien Pomorski. The church can be traced back to the 12th century and under its floor are buried several West Pomeranian princes and the bishops of Kamien. You can also take a trip to Gdańsk, an old Pomeranian port town at the former mouth of the River Wisla. Gdańsk is the capital of the Voivodeship of Pomerania region and has almost half a million inhabitants. The city was founded back in 997 and has many beautiful buildings and sights. You can visit the large Church of St. Mary, the city's impressive Town Hall or the famous crane on the waterfront.
