Johan Falkberget, who lived between 1879 and 1967, was a Norwegian writer who belonged to the group of 'neo-realists' from the beginning of the 20th century. Johan Falkberget is best known for Eli Sjursdotter from 1913 and Brændoffer from 1907. His books were often based on Røros and the copper smelter, and a visit to his home can be both inspiring and reassuring.
