Christiansø

Take a delightful trip to Denmark's unique archipelago of Ertholmene and visit Christian V's fascinating fortress from 1684. The fortifications are extremely well preserved and largely untouched, being listed. On Christiansø you will find yourself far away from the traffic and noise, in the middle of Denmark's only archipelago. Experience the island's stunning scenery, with eider ducks and silver gulls galore. It is possible throughout the year to get to Christiansø from Gudhjem.

Ystad Golf Club

The golf course is located on the Baltic Sea and is cared for and maintained according to the rules of the art. The course has 18 holes, with the first 9 holes being very challenging with many challenges. The last 9 holes offer more space, but here the wind from the southwest can be a problem.

Ystad Golf Club offers 18 holes, driving range, two new practice greens, changing rooms, restaurant and professionally trained staff.

Ales Stone

Ales Sten er en skibssætning fra den tidlige jernalder, som ligger på højderyggen over Kåseberga Havn. Stenen er 67 m lang og består af 59 kvartssandsten, som hver vejer omkring 5 tons.

Nogle forskere mener, at monumentet også er et solur.

Tosselilla Sommarland

In the middle of scenic Österlen, you'll find the perfect setting for a great family day out. At Tosselilla Sommarland - Skåne's largest summerland - you can unleash your joy in the many water slides, hilarious roller coasters, challenging Tarzan tracks and get speed and excitement on two or four wheels.

Sandhammaren

Take a walk on Sandhammaren beach and discover Skåne's south-eastern corner.

You'll find yourself just walking along the water's edge, but suddenly you've rounded the corner and no longer have the beach behind you.

In summer, the sun shines and bathing is child-friendly, as the water is shallow.

Don't forget to see the Sandhammaren lighthouse while you're there. Here you can see all the way to Bornholm in clear weather.

Malmo

Go on a self-drive holiday and visit Malmö, the largest city in Skåne and the third largest in Sweden. Malmö has always been a trading city and still is, so it also offers great shopping opportunities. The city centre is well visited and offers a wide range of cultural opportunities. There is a strong cultural life in Malmö, including the Malmö Festival, which is held in August and usually attracts a good number of visitors. The 'Old Town' is close to Malmö Castle and is characterised by charming houses and winding streets, mixed with cafés, design shops and galleries. The Old Town is also home to Stortorget, surrounded by buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries. Here you'll also find the equestrian statue of King Charles X, who helped secure the return of Sweden to Scania in 1658. Southwest of Stortorget is ´Lilla Torg´, surrounded by half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th centuries and definitely worth a visit.

Form/Design Center is located in an old magazine building and exhibits design and crafts complemented by a shop with a wide range of books on Scandinavian design.

At Stortorget, just south of the Central Station, Malmö's pedestrian street and alleyway start, filled with shops. There are also several department stores along the pedestrian street, along with a number of craft shops.

In the newer district of Hyllie, located in the south of Malmo, is probably Scandinavia's largest shopping centre, known as Emporia, so try your luck, there are usually good deals. Malmö is a lovely city and an ideal destination for a cheap mini break, weekend break or longer summer holiday in your own car.

Emporia Shopping Centre

Shopping is an obvious activity when you go on a mini break or weekend break in Malmö. The shopping enthusiast should take a trip to Emporia Shopping Centre in the Malmö suburb of Hyllie. In the 93,000 sqm shopping centre you will find over 200 shops spread over 3 floors. There are also various restaurants where you can take a break and have a nice lunch or a cup of coffee. In the international atmosphere you will find almost everything you need.

Smygehuk

Smygehuk is a harbour and fishing village on the south coast of Skåne, but is best known for being Sweden's southernmost point. Because of this, it is a popular tourist destination with over 200,000 visitors each summer. There is also an ice cream kiosk, a café, a smokehouse and a boathouse. At the harbour there is a sign with distances to some European capitals and to Treriks Rouset (Sweden's northernmost point). Weather permitting, the area is also perfect for a picnic in the sun.

Old Simrishamn

When you're on a mini break in southern Sweden, stop by the cosy town of Simrishamn, where you can take a stroll through the old town and see the colourful little houses. A number of them contain galleries and arts and crafts. Unlike the houses in Kivik and Skillinge, the houses here are fishermen's houses, not officers' houses. The idyllic cobbled streets have become incredibly popular summer destinations and the town comes alive at this time of year.
