High Coast Trail
The high coast trail is one of the most popular hiking trails in the area, taking you up to the top of Skuleberget. The trail starts at the south side of the mountain where there are parking spaces. From there, you can head up the 2.5 km long trail. The path is steep and the hike is estimated to take about 1.5 hours up and about 45 minutes down. Once at the top of Skuleberget, you will be struck by beautiful scenic views of Skuleberget Nature Reserve and you can enjoy a good lunch or coffee at Toppstugan. The hike can be done all year round, with each season offering its own charm. So join the group on a wonderful excursion and enjoy the striking natural experiences on one of Sweden's most beautiful hiking trails.
For those who find it difficult to hike up the trail, there is also a cable car, Skulebergets Linbana, which goes up to the top of Skuleberget and Toppenstugan. Perfect for those travelling in a group and wanting to gather at the final destination.
Boat trip to Ulvön
Enjoy a lovely full-day excursion with a boat trip out to Ulvön, which is considered a beautiful pearl in the Örnsköldsvik archipelago and is known for its production of herring. The boat to Ulvöhamn departs from Docksta Marina, at Dockstafjärden at 10:00. During the boat trip you can sit down and enjoy views of Skuleberget, Mjältön and Nordingrå. The boat arrives at Ulvön at 11:30 and returns at 15:00. On the island, you can stroll along Hamngatan and admire the charming buildings, hike up to Lotsberget, learn more about the island's local history at Ulvö Museum, or visit Ulvö Chapel and Nätterlund Farm Shop, among other things. You can also enjoy a delicious lunch or coffee at one of the island's restaurants and cafés. A perfect excursion for the whole family during a driving holiday on the High Coast.
Nordingrå
Nordingrå parish is best experienced during a half or full day trip by car and is thus an ideal excursion during a car holiday with Risskov. Visit places such as the farm shop and local flea markets, as well as Mannaminne, Bönhamn and Norrfällsviken. In Bönhamn you can walk along the beautiful boathouses and the village's nature trail or take the ferry over to Högbondens Fyr. During the summer you can also swim from the cliffs or have a coffee at the summer café on the jetty. Mannamine is an open-air museum and a collection point for Anders Åberg's artistic works, which you can view in the form of buildings, vehicles and museum objects. In charming Norrfällsviken you will find two restaurants, Fiskarfänget and Kompassen. Enjoy a lovely car trip with the whole family and explore Nordingrå and the surrounding area.
