If you are on a family holiday with children, we recommend a visit to Högevall. This is one of Skåne's largest and most modern bathhouses. In the adventure pool you will get a wonderful tickle in the 213-metre-long water slide and in the wild bathing river. If you want something more relaxing, you can relax in the pool and the whirlpool.

Dalby Helligkorskirke

If you admire historical buildings, we recommend a visit to Dalby Helligkorskirke. In 1060, the church was built and incorporated into Denmark's nine dioceses, two of which were in Skåne. The bishops in Skåne were based in Lund and Dalby respectively. Its long history makes it the oldest preserved stone church.

Malmo Museums and Malmo Castle

In the centre of Malmö you will find Malmö Museums and Malmöhus Castle. The castle, which houses the Malmö Museums, is one of the oldest preserved Renaissance castles in Norway and houses many exhibitions about the city's history, technology, seafaring and nature. It also houses the Malmö Art Museum, the Commandant's House and the Castle Mill. At Malmøhus, guided historical tours are given, which tell about the past inhabitants of the castles and halls. Malmo

Go on a self-drive holiday and visit Malmö, the largest city in Skåne and the third largest in Sweden. Malmö has always been a trading city and still is, so it also offers great shopping opportunities. The city centre is well visited and offers a wide range of cultural opportunities. There is a strong cultural life in Malmö, including the Malmö Festival, which is held in August and usually attracts a good number of visitors. The 'Old Town' is close to Malmö Castle and is characterised by charming houses and winding streets, mixed with cafés, design shops and galleries. The Old Town is also home to Stortorget, surrounded by buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries. Here you'll also find the equestrian statue of King Charles X, who helped secure the return of Sweden to Scania in 1658. Southwest of Stortorget is ´Lilla Torg´, surrounded by half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th centuries and definitely worth a visit.

Form/Design Center is located in an old magazine building and exhibits design and crafts complemented by a shop with a wide range of books on Scandinavian design.

At Stortorget, just south of the Central Station, Malmö's pedestrian street and alleyway start, filled with shops. There are also several department stores along the pedestrian street, along with a number of craft shops.

In the newer district of Hyllie, located in the south of Malmo, is probably Scandinavia's largest shopping centre, known as Emporia, so try your luck, there are usually good deals. Malmö is a lovely city and an ideal destination for a cheap mini break, weekend break or longer summer holiday in your own car.
