Wonderful hotel near the beach, very quiet. Great facilities, very good restaurant, and excellent service. We were here for the second time and certainly not for the last time.

The hotel and the room are great. Ideal as a starting point for bike tours. We even extended our stay. The food is okay, but there's room for improvement. At a 5-star establishment, I expected more.

Super noble hotel, a bit far out in the countryside, but close to the beach & nature, maybe the wine prices are a bit on the high side. Otherwise a lovely experience.

Really nice hotel. Really good rooms and friendly staff. The food was better than expected. The roads to the hotel were small and winding. The only thing missing was a spa bath.

If you're looking for peace and quiet in lovely surroundings, then Schlossgut is the perfect place. The food is excellent by German standards, and the restaurant delivered impressive servings. The wine list is not particularly extensive, but on the other hand, the prices are not snobbish either.
The rooms are wonderfully large and clean, and when we woke up in the morning, we were really surprised at how quiet it was. The only drawback is the non-existent fitness area. There is a spa & sauna, outdoor seasonal swimming pool, which of course is not in operation in April.

Lovely location by the sea. Fresh wind and good walking and cycling routes. However, nothing happens in the town, nor are there any shopping opportunities. You are truly isolated from everything. If you need that, the place is perfect.

After an extensive renovation, between 2009 and 2015, the castle is today open to the public and houses a museum centred on the count's exciting life.
Travemünde
About 20 km from Lübeck city centre lies Travemünde - a former fishing village, situated right on the Baltic Sea. The place is stunningly beautiful and the big ships of the Baltic Sea pass very close by. Germany's oldest lighthouse, which today also houses a maritime museum, is located right at the mouth of the Baltic Sea. It is estimated that the original lighthouse was built as far back as the 14th century, but in 1534 it was attacked and destroyed by Danish troops. It has since been restored and today offers a magnificent view from 31 metres above sea level.

Here you will find everything maritime that belongs to a holiday by the sea: Fishermen who come ashore with fresh fish early in the morning and later sell them as delicious smoked fish in their small stands and excursions with the White Fleet whereby Lübeck Bay presents itself from a whole new side.
Grevesmühlener Mühle
The town of Grevesmühlen takes its name from the craft of windmilling and today the 30-metre high old Dutch windmill from 1878 stands as the town's main landmark. The mill's location on a hill has ensured its preservation through the ages. Inside, there is a gallery and a glass-blowing workshop, where you can also find out more about the fascinating history of the town and the mill.
