It was cheaper to book through you but maybe a bit lower standard on the rooms, but for two nights it was fine.

Cozy place, feels like a guesthouse with a fresh update. Nice SPA. Exceptionally good food. The only negative was the bed being too narrow.

Anundshög
Discover one of the many historic sites on your driving holiday and stop at Anundshög. It's Sweden's largest burial mound at 9 metres high and 64 metres in diameter. The graves probably date from 500 to 700 AD and were used for sacrifices to their gods. The area was probably also inhabited already in the Stone Age and used for trade routes and waterways.
Västerås
Västerås lies on the northern shore of Lake Mälaren and is a lovely city with just over 120,000 inhabitants. You can take a stroll around the cosy centre and see if there are any cheap goodies on sale to take home as a souvenir of your trip. There are also several restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat or you can also take the opportunity to visit H&M's very first store, where the history of the fashion empire began.
One of the city's landmarks is the Västerås Concert Hall, which was inaugurated in 2002 by King Carl Gustav XVI. Keep an eye out for the many interesting events held in the concert hall and at Västmanland Theatre.
Vasaparken is also worth a visit, a great place to relax in the beautiful surroundings. If you are looking for art, stop by Karlsgatan 2, the meeting place for art and culture, and there are also two museums; Västerås Art Museum and Västmanland Landsmuseum.
Take the family to Sweden's first action pool, Kokpunkten, and get your swimming adrenaline pumping. In winter, you can also ski at Vedbobacken or try your skates on the ice rink at Lake Mälaren.
Engelsberg Ironworks
On the Strömholm canal, east of the town of Fagersta, lies the charming station town of Ängelsberg, which offers many interesting sights. Not least among them is the UNESCO-listed Engelsberg Ironworks, which back in the 1700s was among the world's most modern of its kind. During your visit, you can see an extremely well-preserved forge and smelting house, as well as a manor house with its own garden, built in 1746. During the summer months you will also find a small craft shop and a café.
Västanfors homestead
Directly by the Strömholm canal in Fagersta, you will find the exciting open-air museum, Västanfors Hembygdsgård, which celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2017 and is a proud cultural and historical tradition for the town. Over time, it has become a popular destination for tourists in the area who come to see the old cottages, manor house and power station. When you're on holiday in Fagersta, it's a great place to stop by.
