I think there should be food included in the offer and not a glass of wine upon arrival.

Skælskør
There are rumours that Skælskør is one of the best kept secrets in the country. But after a visit to the cosy harbour town, there can be no doubt that Skælskør is certainly a gem, all of its own, in the West Zealand landscape. Skælskør is also known as the 'Sunshine City' with around 200 extra hours of sunshine a year. Among the locals, who number around 6,500 inhabitants, the town is also known as 'Skålskør'. The many well-preserved, old and quirky houses help to enhance the town's historical background. There are also plenty of opportunities for shopping in the many pottery shops and a visit to the cosy harbour, which is the centre of a number of cultural experiences, including the 'Kulturkajen', where there are exhibitions of arts and crafts and hobby and leisure activities. And how about a trip on board the Skælskør V, which is always ready to take its guests on a mini-cruise around the area and the surrounding islands.
Borreby Castle
Borreby Castle, one of Denmark’s oldest preserved Renaissance castles, offers visitors a unique blend of history and beauty. Built in the 1550s, its grand architecture and idyllic location make it a must-see. Explore the picturesque moat and gardens, wander through the historic courtyards, and admire the castle’s striking stonework. Literature lovers will be delighted to learn of the castle’s ties to Hans Christian Andersen, who found inspiration for several of his stories here.
Agersø
Agersø is a beautiful Danish island located between Storebælt and Smålandsfarvandet and there are about 180 lucky inhabitants who can enjoy the very scenic island from close range. Take the ferry from Stignæs, which is about 10 km southwest of Skælskør, to get to the island.
The best way to experience Agersø is to go on safari with the 'Tractor Bus', pulled by the pride of the island, a John Deere 2130 tractor from 1977. The trip runs from south to north and gives a good impression of the unspoilt nature and the beautiful and wild nature areas completely surrounded by water and with a fantastic bird life. See the old cannon battery from the 1812 British wars or perhaps find a fossil on the shore, it just takes a little patience. If a fishing trip would be interesting, Agersø is also a good place to start. Turbot, plaice, sea trout, salmon and many more delicious fish species can be found in the waters around Agersø. Agersø Sund, which separates the island with Zealand, is the deepest water in Denmark and is also called the 'Danish Philippine Grave'. Don't forget to visit the cosy little town of Agersø, and if you have time, take a trip down to the small marina and experience the great atmosphere.
Korsør
Go on a driving holiday in Denmark and find the many charming cities that are also perfect for a self-drive holiday in Denmark. Risskov offers cheap car holidays with child-friendly hotels. Drive to Korsør which is located on the extreme western corner of South West Zealand next to the Storebælt and is a small cozy market town with a lot of history. There have actually been settlements since the Stone and Bronze Ages, and there is plenty of evidence of that. Just take a look at the many burial mounds that adorn the landscape. Korsør Castle is certainly worth a visit too. The old ramparts are still preserved, along with the bastions and the beautiful warehouse building from the 1600s. Find a cheap hotel stay for your summer or winter holiday at Risskov and drive to Korsør.
Slagelse Museum
Slagelse Museum, situated in Denmark, is a cultural hub that showcases the region's history and archaeology. It offers visitors a unique journey through time, featuring exhibitions on Viking Age discoveries and local history. The museum's diverse collections, including artifacts from the Stone Age to modern times, make it an intriguing destination for history enthusiasts, families, and educational groups. It's especially known for its engaging displays that bring the past to life, offering insights into the area's rich cultural heritage.
Trelleborg Viking Castle
Trelleborg Viking Castle is one of Denmark's great cultural treasures, as it is one of the best preserved ring fortresses in the country. Trelleborg was built by Harald Bluetooth in 980 and the many remains in the terrain are still on display. It is completely free to become part of the exciting history. Bring the family and experience how the Vikings worked both as farmers and warriors, a great experience for the whole family.
