Poor reception at check-in, questioned the price and room choice. According to them, we were to be assigned a double room even though we had booked a deluxe room. Hence the poor rating of the staff.

A wonderfully relaxing stay well worth the money. A bit too crowded in the spa area on Saturday afternoon, so avoid it if you can.

We had a Deluxe room where the double bed was placed against the wall with a 1 dm gap, which made it difficult to get out of bed. Especially when you're not young anymore. Celebrated the 80th birthday at Hallstaberget.

Nipleden on the High Coast
Enjoy fantastic hikes at 'Höga Kusten' during your stay in Sollefteå. Nipleden is a 27 km long hiking trail that takes you both up and downstream, between Sollefteå and Edsbron, along the Ångermanlandsälven. The majority of the route follows the area's characteristic steep slopes, which are up to 50 metres high in places. It is also worth exploring the 'Granvågsniporna' at the mouth of Faxälven. The route can be challenging and is both narrow and steep in places. If you want a shorter and easier hike, we recommend a day trip to the top of Multråberget, which is about 5 km from Sollefteå centre. Ångermanlandsälven is also known for its so-called 'Nipstadfisket'. During the summer, the area attracts fishermen from near and far to take part in the world-class salmon fishing here. The areas around Nipleden, Höga Kusten and Ångermanlandsälven are ideal for nature lovers.
Multråberget
Enjoy the beautiful views and scenery of Höga Kusten with a hike up Multråberget, during your car holiday in Sollefteå. The route starts at Multrå church, about 5 km east of Sollefteå, and there are free parking spaces you can use. The tour takes about 3 hours including a coffee break. From the top of Multråberget you have a fantastic view from about 250 meters above sea level! The hike is relatively easy and therefore also suitable for families with children. Höga Kusten is known as a water paradise and a trip to Multråberget offers the perfect half-day excursion for nature lovers who want an easier hike.
The rock carvings at Nämforsen
Take a trip to Näsåker, about 35 minutes' drive from Sollefteå, and visit the cave carvings at Nämforsen. The oldest petroglyphs are said to be more than 6,000 years old, and Nämforsen in the Ångermanlandsälven is home to one of Northern Europe's very largest petroglyph sites, with just around 2,600 carvings. At the museum you can see an exhibition of various artefacts from the excavations and learn more about the petroglyphs and their history. Parking is free and admission to the museum is free. There is also a café with outdoor seating during the summer season. So go on a wonderful outing suitable for families and couples alike - the museum also has a children's corner and offers guided tours in summer, as well as mobile-guided tours all year round. Nämforsen is a piece of Northern European cultural heritage that is definitely worth a visit during your driving holiday in or near Sollefteå.
