Wonderful view over the valley and river. Nice hostess and very good three-course dinner. Did not participate in the wine tasting, but those who did were satisfied. A lot for the money.

A lovely small hotel with good rooms, friendly hosts, and a location close to the Mosel. It's perfect for cycling along the river and experiencing all the small wineries.

Lovely little hotel. Nice breakfast and good dinner. Lovely wine. The dog is welcome. There is internet in the dining room, but not in the rooms, which would be nice but not need to have.

Lovely hotel with an okay view. The main courses were almost identical the 2 days we were there, but for the price, it's acceptable.

Excellent family-run hotel. Newly renovated room with very good beds and a balcony with a view of the Moselle. We booked 7 overnight stays with half board. Nice breakfast and varied dinner with starter + main course + dessert and always a salad! Small wishes (e.g. extra mayo etc.) were gladly fulfilled at no extra cost. Of course, there was also a wine list from local winemakers. We felt completely comfortable. Thank you for the lovely holiday, say Gitti + Andi.

The Hotel Moselblick is beautifully located on the hillside in Wintrich. It is surrounded by vineyards. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the Moselle from the balcony. The room was clean and well-furnished. The food was good and the staff was courteous and friendly.

Bernkastel-Kues
Visit the town of Bernkastel-Kues, where you can stroll through the historic districts. In particular, wander around the area around the cosy market square, where you will find the cosy wine shops and where you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere among the beautiful half-timbered houses. Find a car holiday in Germany at Risskov and arrange a real family holiday with the kids. Find child-friendly hotels in the area and explore Bernkastel-Kues. Generally when you move around the town, soak up the unique history that hides behind every street corner.
Bernkastel has been known for its wine production since Roman times and this is clearly reflected in the town, which is also known for having several spas where you can completely relax. The town's winemaking heritage is reflected in the fact that the vineyards surrounding the town can be seen at the end of most side streets, forming a beautiful curtain around the town.
It's easy to find a cheap weekend break for the whole family at Risskov, so drop by and see how you can best arrange a self-drive holiday in Germany.
Mosel Adventure Forest - Mont Royal
For children and young people, one of the highlights of the area is the large climbing and parkour paradise, located in a forest between Trier and Koblenz. Mosel Adventure Forest - Mont Royal is one of Europe's largest climbing parks and offers a wide range of activities. However, it is not only children and young people who enjoy the area - it is also widely used by companies for teambuilding, schools, scout groups, etc.
Trier
Trier, Germany's oldest city, is also a must. In Trier you can see some of the best-preserved monuments and buildings from the heyday of the Romans around 2,000 years ago. See the impressive Porta Nigra city gate, the Baroque park, the Palastgarten, where you will find some interesting Roman baths. The Amphitheatre with a capacity of 20,000 and the Roman Bridge are more good examples of Roman architecture. Present-day Trier also offers vineyards, turbo boats and the old fishermen's quarter, reminiscent of a small independent village with restaurants and cafés.
Idar-Oberstein
Idar-Oberstein is a town in the Hunsrück mountain range in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. It is located in the Landkreis Birkenfeld and is merged from the two towns Idar and Oberstein. The town is known throughout Germany as the jewellery town due to its central place in European jewellery industry and is also a garrison town. The mountain range on which the town sits is 200-450 metres above sea level. The river Nahe has its source here and runs through the town. In 1974 the German National Gem Exchange opened in the town. It is one of the world's 25 diamond exchanges and was the world's first exchange for trading in jewellery gems when it opened. Things to see during summer holidays in this city are the famous Felsenkirche and this is the city's landmark. The church is built into the great cliff and is an incredibly beautiful sight. As Idar-Oberstein is known as the jewellery town, it is also very appropriate that the German Gemstone Museum is located in this town. In this museum all gemstones and precious stone species of the world are gathered. A special focus of the museum is a representation of the domestic minerals and their processing, but also engravings and sculptures from all over the world are exhibited at the museum. For those interested in jewellery and precious stones, Idar-Oberstein is an obvious choice for a cheap mini break or a long weekend!
Moselle round trip
Go on unforgettable adventures with boat tours in the picturesque countryside around the Moselle River! Let one stunning scenery replace the other with picturesque villages, historic castles and panoramic scenery as far as the eye can see. Tours are offered in the regions of Bernkastel-Kues, Trier and Cochem. It is also possible to combine a boat trip to Treis-Karden with a hike to the beautiful Burg Eltz.
Adventure pool Zeller Land
Take a cheap car holiday in Germany and visit Erlebnisbad Zeller Land, a water park for the whole family. With a 6-person whirlpool, sauna and several pools, ranging from a toddler pool and play pool to a swimming pool and outdoor pool, there really is something for people of all ages. The 60-metre-long water slide is a sure hit with the kids. You'll also find a range of sports on offer, including beach volleyball, seesaws up to 3 metres and various water activities. Finish off with a bite to eat and a drink in the resort's cosy bistro. Erlebnisbad Zeller Land is an ideal destination for a summer and family holiday in Germany. You can book hotel and cheap self-drive holidays with Risskov. They have a great selection of family-friendly trips.
