Welcome to one of the oldest hotels in Denmark. The 3-star Hotel Harmonien was built in 1854, and has since hosted parties and dances throughout the years. Countless stories are hidden in the elegant, classic hotel building, which was last renovated in 2021.
You will be welcomed by the hotel's friendly staff and accommodated in comfortable, modern rooms. At the hotel restaurant you can enjoy a wide selection of traditional dishes with a modern twist. When the weather is nice, you can dine on the hotel's green garden terrace, which is at guests' disposal.
The hotel is a great starting point for a self drive holiday on Lolland: you are only a short distance from various attractions, such as Hestehoved Strand, Doddekaliterne, or Knuthenborg Safari Park.
Also discover Lolland by water with the historic turbo boat Postbåden Vesta, where you can see the special islets in Nakskov Fjord and, if you're lucky, porpoises, seals and sea eagles. If you like active holidays, you can also cycle on Lolland's many cycling routes or visit Halsted Kloser Golf Club.

Dodekalitten
On the northern coast of Lolland at Kragenæs, an exciting artistic project is under construction. Sculptor Thomas Kadziola and composer Gunner Møller Pedersen will create a magnificent monument, consisting of 12 large stone figures of granite, which standing in a circle, daily electroacoustic music and song will flow out. This through a hidden loudspeaker system built into the huge stone figures. Maribo is located in the middle of Lolland and is an old market town and well-known cathedral town with about 5,700 inhabitants. Beautifully situated between the Maribo Lakes, there are plenty of opportunities to explore nature and wildlife as well as to swim, hike, cycle, sail and play golf in beautiful surroundings. Drive your own car and discover the beautiful nature and rich birdlife around the Maribo Lakes. The area is perfect for walking and cycling, and the Maribo Lakes Nature Park organises a number of public guided tours throughout the year. You can also board the Anemonen tour boat, which runs non-stop tours of the Maribo Lakes throughout the summer, as well as trips to Borgø, where you can see the remains of an old medieval castle. Maribo is worth a visit and therefore an obvious destination for a cheap car holiday in Denmark.
