Lake Garda
Lake Garda is the most popular holiday destination for Danes in Italy. Countless generations know about this gem in northern Italy. Here you will find everything you could dream of for the ideal holiday: Impressive and dazzlingly beautiful scenery, charming and atmosphere-filled small towns, picturesque castles , cosy cafés and restaurants, boat trips on the water, fine bathing opportunities and the cultural pearl Verona - Romeo and Juliet's city with the Roman arena.
The surroundings of Lake Garda are stunning and endless, and the excursion possibilities are endless. For example, visit one of the most important buildings in the history of the area, the Castelnuovo di Noarna wine castle. The castle is built on the ruins of an ancient Roman building. The renovation was started in 1974 by Giulio Zani, who took over both the ruins and the surrounding vineyards. The buildings are now carefully restored.
San Zeno di Montagna
San Zeno di Montagna is home to about 1,400 inhabitants and is located on Monte Baldo or Mount Baldo. From the historic town there is an incredible view of Lake Garda, the many green olive groves and the surrounding and very majestic mountains. For this reason, San Zeno di Montagna is also a great place for hiking, trekking and climbing.
The city is full of interesting sights, visit for example the Church of St Bartholomew, which dates back to the 16th century, or the beautiful parish church erected in honour of San Zeno. The beautiful bell tower was built in 1788 and the church has undergone a series of renovations and refurbishments, including a new and very impressive altar in 1914.
There are plenty of opportunities to do some shopping in the old town or simply enjoy a Turbiana in one of the town's cafés.
Gardola
The village of Gardola has approx. 600 inhabitants and here you find everything you would expect in a small village: baker, butcher, two small supermarkets, pharmacy, post office, church and town hall as well as a pizzeria and a restaurant. Every Tuesday you can visit the weekly market in Piazzale delle Ginestre.

La Limonaia del Castel
La Limonaia del Castel, located in the charming town of Limone sul Garda, is a fascinating historical lemon house offering a glimpse into the traditional cultivation of citrus fruits in the region. Set on a hillside, this historical lemon house provides captivating views of the lake and mountains. Originally built in the 18th century, its terraced layout, supported by stone walls and wooden structures, showcases how lemons were grown in the region's microclimate. You will love the site if you are seeking a mix of cultural history, nature and panoramic vistas.
Riva del Garda
Riva del Garda is a cozy little town which among other things offers shops, cafés and restaurants, where you can enjoy dining outside. As the name suggests, it lies down to the beautiful Lake Garda.
Cascata del Varone
The unique and fascinating waterfall Cascata del Varone is located 3 km north of the town of Riva. Over more than 20,000 years, water from Lake Tenno has carved a gorge almost 70 metres deep into the mountain itself, where the water falls from 98 metres. An unusual and exciting visit, where you will discover both the mountain and the waterfall from the inside and outside by paths, stairs and bridges. Due to the special microclimate of the gorge, it has been possible to create a small botanical garden, which you will pass through during your visit.
Sirmione
Sirmione, at the very tip of the Benaco peninsula, which is located at the southernmost end of Lake Garda. Visit the Catullus Grottoes and the ruins of one of the largest Roman villas in the north of Italy. The famous villa is said to have belonged to the Roman poet, Caius Valerius Catullus, and it was here that he wrote some of his beautiful poems about, among other things, the influence that the beautiful place had on him. Take a walk along the beautiful paths and smell the cypresses, olive trees and magnolias that adorn the area.
Torbole sul Garda
The pleasant little town of Torbole lies on the north side of Lake Garda, about 3 km east of Riva del Garda, up the slopes of Monte Baldo and as a natural fishing village leaning on the Sacra river delta. The mild climate of the area has today made Torbole, with about 3,000 inhabitants, a popular tourist destination, especially for happy surfing enthusiasts and sailors enjoying the good winds on Lake Garda. The town has a good selection of shops mixed with bars, restaurants and a number of discos. The cosy harbour and 'La Vecchia Dogana', the town's old customs house, are sought-after places to enjoy the last rays of the sun.
Peschiera del Garda
Located right on Lake Garda, this small town is a gem for the more romantically inclined. But it is also a town ready for families, with a great atmosphere, full of magical nooks and crannies, small and cosy streets with shops and traders in a tangle.
The lakeside location is a big plus, and it won't be long before the family is settled on one of the small terraces with a few cool drinks on the table and a magnificent view of the southern shores of Lake Garda.
Peschiera is one of the most characteristic Italian towns along Lake Garda. Surrounded by small canals and with a historic centre enclosed by walls, Peschiera offers everything you would expect from a small, cosy Italian town.
From Peschiera del Garda it is also easy to continue by boat and visit other towns along the shores of Lake Garda.
