We stayed overnight for a day. Fantastic location. We had a lovely breakfast. Especially their eggs can be recommended. Not the last time we come to Hages Badehotel.

The food was served with a large portion of mussels as a starter. Maybe we would have liked to be asked if we wanted this since not everyone eats mussels. Otherwise, the food is fine and tasty.

Lovely place with the possibility to take long walks along the dam and inland. A good idea would be to have maps available on-site with suggested hiking routes in the area starting from the hotel.

The acoustics in the restaurant were very poor, making it difficult to have a conversation. The gin and tonic were bad. But the stay was fantastic and the area was very beautiful.

Great stay at the location - wonderful walk on the dike! The local area should be experienced by car as Rødbyhavn, as such, is without quality!! 😊

Really nice place. Sweet and customer-oriented staff. Missed some waste sorting in the room.

Nice and clean upon arrival, but only breakfast. No option to buy dinner at Hages. Very nice area, and quiet.
It would be great if one could book a specific accommodation.

We have been there twice, the first time last year when it had just opened. It was so good that we decided to come again this year, both times we also had excellent weather with 20-24 degrees and sun, which makes the stay even better. We plan to come again, maybe already next year.

Maribo Cathedral
Go on a cheap car holiday in Denmark and visit Maribo Cathedral, originally a Birgitine monastery church donated to the Grimstrup estate by Queen Margrethe I. The church was built during the 1400s, but didn't actually become a cathedral until 1803. Inside the church you can see Leonora Christine's grave, who lived in the old monastery south of the church.
The open-air museum in Maribo
Take a trip to Denmark's third oldest open-air museum in Maribo. The museum consists of 13 reconstructed houses, dating from the end of the 17th century up to the beginning of the 20th century. Surrounded by woods in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is a pleasure to walk among the old houses, such as the forge and the spray house. You can also see an old steam engine from Nysted Sawmill and a fascinating locomotive from 1872, which was used for ploughing. All around, a number of beautiful gardens have been laid out, such as a rose garden and a medicinal herb garden.
Maribo
Maribo is located in the middle of Lolland and is an old market town and well-known cathedral town with about 5,700 inhabitants. Beautifully situated between the Maribo Lakes, there are plenty of opportunities to explore nature and wildlife as well as to swim, hike, cycle, sail and play golf in beautiful surroundings. Drive your own car and discover the beautiful nature and rich birdlife around the Maribo Lakes. The area is perfect for walking and cycling, and the Maribo Lakes Nature Park organises a number of public guided tours throughout the year. You can also board the Anemonen tour boat, which runs non-stop tours of the Maribo Lakes throughout the summer, as well as trips to Borgø, where you can see the remains of an old medieval castle. Maribo is worth a visit and therefore an obvious destination for a cheap car holiday in Denmark.
Knuthenborg Safari Park
Find a cheap self-drive holiday with Risskov and experience Northern Europe's largest safari and landscape park with over 1,000 wild animals from all four corners of the world. Drive on safari among rhinos and other dangerous animals and get closer than ever before. Experience some of the most interesting animal encounters you've ever seen in a zoo and take a ride on the monkey bus and get up close to the funny monkeys. As a new feature, the park now also offers fun and excitement in Limpoland with Europe's steepest waterslide and lots of exciting activities for both children and adults. Ideal for a driving holiday and with child-friendly hotels in the area, Knuthenborg Safaripark is one of the many experiences waiting.
Sea center Fehmarn
Exciting experiences await in the 3,000 m² aquarium located on Fehmarn. Here you will find more than 4 million liters of seawater with tropical coral fish, sharks, rays and much more. Take a trip through the underwater tunnel with both rays and sharks swimming right over your head!
Submarine Museum Fehmarn
Discover the legendary and unique U-11 submarine at the U-Boot Museum Fehmarn. Here you have a unique opportunity to enter and see the submarine from the inside and get an insight into the life of a crew member when the submarine was in operation during the Cold War. In addition to the U-11, the museum also offers a fascinating exhibition on the Cold War and the post-war period.
