Fjordslottet Hotell

The main building of Fjordslottet Hotel is a charming old manor house, built in 1851, in a beautiful location by the Osterfjord. The hotel is just a 45-minute drive from Bergen and a 25-minute drive from the E16 motorway. In 1997, two extensions were completed where the rooms are located today. This is a historic hotel, and the kitchen serves plenty of good food and drink in a lively atmosphere.

Situated in scenic surroundings, just off the beaten track, Fjordslott offers an idyllic setting for a wonderful active holiday in Norway. The hotel's rooms create a pleasant environment to settle into, with a beautiful view of the fjord and the surrounding mountains. On warm summer evenings you can also sit outside in the hotel's beautiful garden.

The surrounding area offers many great opportunities for walks in the exciting and varied nature - from fjord to mountain, as well as a wide range of exciting sights on the island. Take a boat trip, for example, or book a trip to - or from - Bergen. There are also great opportunities to enjoy hiking, with many marked trails suitable for both walking and cycling on the island. The hotel staff will be happy to help with tips, suggestions and opening times. The area also offers guided tours, and the hotel is happy to help arrange helicopter rides.

You can also stop by the small wood museum at Hosanger Treskofabrikk or see 'Bullahuset', a beautiful villa by Valestrandsfossen where the Norwegian national treasure, Ole Bull, lived. Or how about a visit to Osterøy Ysteri, which houses both a goat farm and a factory, where you can get an insight into the production of goat cheese and goat sausages? Start the day with a lovely buffet breakfast and round off a pleasant afternoon with a delicious 2-course dinner. Fjordslott's menus are created by the hotel's expert chef and include several Norwegian delicacies, such as venison and short-rib trout with cream sauce.

Rooms

The hotel has 42 pleasant rooms and offers both single and double rooms. All rooms are equipped with a double bed, and in the double rooms it is possible to add an extra bed. Each room is furnished with a wardrobe, sofa and coffee table, as well as a private tiled bathroom. Most rooms have a door out to a private balcony.
