Byporten Västerport

Skälby is one of the many green areas around Kalmar. Glasriget - Glassworks and foundries

The part of Småland that has been known for its glass industry since the 18th century is known as the "Glass Kingdom". Today there are about a dozen glassworks in the Kingdom of Glass. Among the larger glassworks are Kosta, Nybro Glasværk (Nybro Crystal Sweden), SEA glasværk, Glasværket i Boda, JFS - Johanfors Future Spirit, Mike Johans kunstglas and Pukeberg slasværker.
