Great place, strange though that there wasn't a gym.

Points of interests
Trier
Trier, Germany's oldest city, is also a must. In Trier you can see some of the best-preserved monuments and buildings from the heyday of the Romans around 2,000 years ago. See the impressive Porta Nigra city gate, the Baroque park, the Palastgarten, where you will find some interesting Roman baths. The Amphitheatre with a capacity of 20,000 and the Roman Bridge are more good examples of Roman architecture. Present-day Trier also offers vineyards, turbo boats and the old fishermen's quarter, reminiscent of a small independent village with restaurants and cafés.
Bernkastel-Kues
Visit the town of Bernkastel-Kues, where you can stroll through the historic districts. In particular, wander around the area around the cosy market square, where you will find the cosy wine shops and where you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere among the beautiful half-timbered houses. Find a car holiday in Germany at Risskov and arrange a real family holiday with the kids. Find child-friendly hotels in the area and explore Bernkastel-Kues. Generally when you move around the town, soak up the unique history that hides behind every street corner.
Bernkastel has been known for its wine production since Roman times and this is clearly reflected in the town, which is also known for having several spas where you can completely relax. The town's winemaking heritage is reflected in the fact that the vineyards surrounding the town can be seen at the end of most side streets, forming a beautiful curtain around the town.
It's easy to find a cheap weekend break for the whole family at Risskov, so drop by and see how you can best arrange a self-drive holiday in Germany.
Mosel Adventure Forest - Mont Royal
For children and young people, one of the highlights of the area is the large climbing and parkour paradise, located in a forest between Trier and Koblenz. Mosel Adventure Forest - Mont Royal is one of Europe's largest climbing parks and offers a wide range of activities. However, it is not only children and young people who enjoy the area - it is also widely used by companies for teambuilding, schools, scout groups, etc.
Idar-Oberstein
Idar-Oberstein is a town in the Hunsrück mountain range in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. It is located in the Landkreis Birkenfeld and is merged from the two towns Idar and Oberstein. The town is known throughout Germany as the jewellery town due to its central place in European jewellery industry and is also a garrison town. The mountain range on which the town sits is 200-450 metres above sea level. The river Nahe has its source here and runs through the town. In 1974 the German National Gem Exchange opened in the town. It is one of the world's 25 diamond exchanges and was the world's first exchange for trading in jewellery gems when it opened. Things to see during summer holidays in this city are the famous Felsenkirche and this is the city's landmark. The church is built into the great cliff and is an incredibly beautiful sight. As Idar-Oberstein is known as the jewellery town, it is also very appropriate that the German Gemstone Museum is located in this town. In this museum all gemstones and precious stone species of the world are gathered. A special focus of the museum is a representation of the domestic minerals and their processing, but also engravings and sculptures from all over the world are exhibited at the museum. For those interested in jewellery and precious stones, Idar-Oberstein is an obvious choice for a cheap mini break or a long weekend!
