Station Sågen

Station Sågen offers an adventurous railbiking experience on the disused railway tracks of Inlandsbanan, situated 30 km south of Vansbro, Dalarna. This unique activity allows visitors to journey through deep forests, immersing themselves in stunning natural landscapes. Suitable for all ages and accessible during snow-free seasons, railbiking is an excellent way for the whole family to explore the outdoors.

Siljansnäs

Siljansnäs is located in Siljansnäs parish in Dalarna. The community is located on a large peninsula in the southern part of Siljan and consists of several smaller villages.

Siljansnäs has a church from 1875 and in the winter months Granberget's ski slope is open. Siljansnäs also has an airfield for private aircraft and in 2006 work began to make the airfield the first "air park" in the Nordic countries.

Every year on Midsummer's Day, the classic rowing competition is organised, where rowing boats from all over Siljan compete in a race that stretches from Byrviken to Siljansnäs campsite.

Naturum Dalarna

Naturum Dalarna is one of Sweden's 33 nature reserves. The trademark "naturum" is owned by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and they say that "Naturum is open to everyone and is an opportunity for all ages to learn more about nature and the environment."

Formerly called Naturum Dalarna for Siljansnäs nature reserve, was formed in 1978. The nature reserve has been extended several times and is now 31.5 hectares and includes hilly forest, lush green forest and meadow.

Naturum Dalarna was reopened in 2007 in its current form. Inside the nature area there are also several exhibitions to learn more about animals and nature in the area.
