They should make it clear that it is a seafood restaurant and that you can't get anything other than fish for the main course. It's a bit annoying two days in a row when you're not a big fish eater.

About the hotel

Varbergs Kusthotell offers a seaside retreat where the charm of Halland meets modern comfort. Enjoy a relaxing spa experience, delicious dishes at the Severins grill restaurant and a stroll along the magnificent seaside promenade. In summer 2026, two newly renovated spa floors opened, featuring saunas, bathing facilities and peaceful relaxation areas. Outdoors, you'll also find three heated outdoor pools, open all year round.

About the hotel

The four-star hotel is regarded as one of Sweden's leading spa hotels, offering the perfect setting to unwind in peaceful surroundings while enjoying a wide range of activities and nearby attractions. Every evening, Restaurant Severins fires up its grills to serve flavourful dinners inspired by seasonal ingredients where the sea meets the grill. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served every day of the week.

Discover Halland's beautiful scenery and attractions. Stroll through the charming centre of Varberg and visit the town's historic landmark, Varberg Fortress, or the Halland Museum of Cultural History. The Grimeton Radio Station, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and industrial heritage monument, is also well worth a visit. Nature lovers should head to the Getterön Nature Reserve, where scenic walking trails, beautiful beaches and abundant birdlife await.

Between excursions and activities, unwind in the hotel's peaceful spa and wellness area before enjoying a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant.
