The hotel was formerly a steam plant that supplied energy to large parts of Sweden. Today, the brick building has been transformed into a beautiful hotel where the spirit of the old steam plant can still be felt. You are welcomed to a stay with varied, entertaining activities, delicious gastronomy and a good location for excursions to Uppsala and Stockholm.
The 4-star hotel is located in a listed building and has been renovated with respect for the industrial details from the steam plant's time. Boilers, machines and pipes are part of the interior design. Stone, metal and concrete are combined with soft textiles, glass and wood.
On the 7th floor there is a large 800 square metre wellness centre. You can enjoy a dip in the pool, either indoors or outdoors with heating. The floor also has a cosy fireplace and a winter garden if the weather calls for indoor fun. The hotel offers a host of different activities, including table tennis ball, shuffleboard and karaoke. There's even a cinema in the spacious hotel, which also houses the Kokpunkten water park, with hours of entertainment for the whole family.
Try different culinary temptations at the three restaurants, such as Asian fusion, Italian or flavourful dishes from international cuisine. In the morning, a delicious and varied breakfast buffet awaits you.
For sightseeing, Västerås city centre is just a short drive away, and Uppsala and Stockholm are about 1.5 hours away.
The hotel's 263 rooms are decorated in an industrial, romantic style. All rooms have comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs, minibars, hairdryers, air conditioning and private bathrooms.
