Central Sweden
Svealand covers scenic Central Sweden with the Norwegian border to the west and the Baltic Sea to the east.
Risskov has a wide selection of mini holidays in Svealand. Everything from cosy hotels in the beautiful countryside, active hotels on mountain peaks to city hotels in the middle of the capital Stockholm.
Get close to nature with a stay in Svealand. Discover the vast Swedish forests, where you might be lucky enough to encounter Sweden's wildlife. Discover moose, deer and wolves, among others. Try your hand at canoeing on one of the many idyllic lakes, where you might be lucky enough to spot wild beavers. Or go hiking in the beautiful Swedish mountains and experience, for example, a wonderful sunrise over the vast Swedish wilderness.
In eastern Svealand lies the largest metropolis in Scandinavia, Stockholm, also called the Venice of the North. The city is located where the river Mäleren flows into the Baltic Sea. Stockholm is known for its maritime life with rivers, bridges and marinas running through it. Visit the Royal Palace with the Crown Jewels or go shopping in the city's more than 4000 shops.
