About 19 km south of Sweden's sixth largest city, Örebro, there is a lovely hotel tucked away in the town of Kumla. Kumla Hotel is a little overlooked gem that is strategically located if you are travelling to Central Sweden, specifically Närke in Svealand.
About the hotel
In addition to its great location in the city, the Kumla Hotel also has almost direct access to public transport with a train station right next to the hotel, as well as buses and taxis. If you book your stay with Risskov, breakfast and a hot evening meal are included.
On the 4th floor, there is a gym in case you have any energy left over after a long day of exciting outdoor activities. You can also relax in the wellness area with a sauna, or perhaps enjoy a hot tub overlooking the rooftops of Kumla town.
If you've brought your golf equipment, there are also great opportunities to combine a mini break with a golf break. The popular Kumla Golf Club or Nor Golfklubb, which are a little further away, are not far away. If you're looking for a challenge, there's one waiting at the bottom of Kvarntorpshögen. A slag heap that rises 156 metres above sea level, there's only one way to go and that's uphill. Remember that a hot sauna awaits you at the hotel once you've come back down. The worst leg pain can also be helped at the KumlaPuben, which offers colourful and cooling drinks.
