Konventum Hotel & Konference

Konventum is set in quiet surroundings just outside Helsingør, with views over the Øresund. The atmosphere is calm and spacious, offering a relaxing break from everyday routines. The hotel is set among green parkland and open spaces, just a short walk from the coast—so it’s easy to head down to the water for a stroll.

About the hotel

What really makes Konventum stand out is its combination of nature, architecture, and art. You’re not just staying at a hotel—you’re surrounded by Denmark’s largest private art collection, with more than 1,200 works displayed throughout the buildings and across the grounds. It feels more like a living gallery, where art is part of the surroundings rather than something set apart.

The hotel has an on-site restaurant serving seasonal dishes, along with a bar and several lounge areas where you can sit and relax. In the morning, freshly baked bread from the hotel’s own bakery is served at breakfast, and the smell alone is enough to draw you in.

There are also fitness facilities, and the large outdoor areas make it easy to go for a run or simply enjoy the quiet setting. Helsingør Golf Club is located right next door, and the coastline is within easy reach.

From here, it’s a short trip into Helsingør, where you can visit Kronborg Castle, explore the old town, or try one of the many restaurants along the coast. The beaches in North Zealand are close by and worth visiting in any season.

Rooms

The Standard Rooms are simple, comfortable and functional – ideal for a good night’s sleep. They have a private bathroom, TV, free Wi-Fi and views of the surrounding nature. The Deluxe Rooms offer the same facilities but feature a more personal and stylish interior. Each room is individually furnished with Danish design and artwork from the hotel’s own collection, giving it an extra refined and unique touch.

Konventum’s rooms are spread across several levels, so there are stairs in various parts of the hotel. Konventum covers 20,000 m² and has been extended several times since it was completed in 1969. As a result, the building has multiple levels and many stairs. Wheelchair users can access the hotel with the help of two lifts located at opposite ends of the building. However, please be aware of stairs and differences in floor level.
