Nice hotel, good and accommodating staff.
Dinner on day 1 was quite okay, chicken. On day two, the hash was experienced as a bit of a dull school lunch and not like a nice dinner at a hotel.

Hotell Högland is a lovely 4-star hotel with newly renovated hotel rooms. It is only an hour's drive from the popular Astrid Lindgren's World, High Chaparall and Gränna and then it is only a 30-minute drive via motorway 33 to Jönköping.
About the hotel
Discover Småland's forests, take a swim in one of the lakes or go on an excursion to 'Glasriket' and the popular attraction Astrid Lindgren's World, play golf or take a bike ride around the beautiful surroundings. The elegant Hotell Höglund offers 4-star accommodation with many lovely facilities right by the Resecentrum in the centre of Nässjö.
The hotel has a wellness area with a hot tub, massage chairs and a newly renovated sauna. The age limit in the wellness area is 18 years and there are proper conditions and no noise disturbances. If you forget your bathing suit, help is available at reception, where you can also get advice and directions to the many attractions in the area.
Every morning the hotel serves a delicious buffet breakfast, and there is also a lovely restaurant serving everything from daily specials to à la carte dishes. You can end the day in the cosy bar, which also offers simple meals and of course drinks.
The hotel is suitable for families with young children and in summer there is also a playroom where the little ones can have fun.
Free parking is available and free WiFi is available during your stay. The hotel is cashless, which means you can only pay by card. You can always get help at reception, which is open 24 hours.
Rooms
The hotel rooms were renovated between in 2014 so it is both new and comfortable rooms that the hotel offers its guests. All rooms have private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, armchair with a small table, a desk with lamp and socket for computer, telephone and safe. The rooms also have a TV with 22 channels, including Viasat Sport and Viasat Film, as well as a lovely view over the city centre.
The single rooms have a 105 cm wide bed and the beds in the double rooms are two 90 cm wide beds. An extra person can also be accommodated in the double rooms.

The guy at the reception was the best, outstanding, service-minded. The hotel was very good, the spa area cozy, and the breakfast was excellent. What brought down the entire stay were the dinners (chef's choice). The first evening couscous with some tired meat pieces, no salad on the side. The second evening was hash with a fried egg, no salad on the side (a nice waitress realized that this might not be a proper dinner so she immediately asked if we wanted bread with it). The last evening was sausage stroganoff with rice, no salad on the side. We believe these dishes belong to a mediocre lunch restaurant and not a cozy dinner at a hotel. With these lunch dishes, not even a leaf of salad, tomato, or other greens was served, which would have upgraded the dishes. Nor were there any spices to be found in these dishes, making them extremely child-friendly. All of this had the consequence that champagne, prosecco, or drinks and a glass of wine with the meal were not ordered; instead, water, non-alcoholic beer, etc., became the drink options. A shame since the breakfast was purely brilliant with all possible accompaniments. Learn from this and serve better dinners, otherwise the concept falls apart in the wrong way.
