The hotel is located with a wonderful view of Lake Vättern and looks like an old castle. From the hotel restaurant, Verandan, where your dinner is served, you have a breathtaking view of the lake. The restaurant serves classic Swedish food of very high quality. Why not try the almost world-famous Småland lard? The restaurant is open for lunch from 12.00-14.30 and for dinner 18.00-21.00. There is also a sauna. Parking is free. WiFi is free in the hotel. The entire hotel is non-smoking.
The rooms
The rooms are located in one of the two side buildings about 100 metres from the main building. All rooms are modernly furnished and have private toilet and shower, telephone, TV, minibar and safe. The bed is 180 cm wide. There is a possibility of 2 extra beds in the rooms. All rooms are non-smoking. Unfortunately, there is no balcony in the room, but all rooms have a beautiful view of the lake.

The dinner was nothing special, it tasted good but the meat was reheated, not freshly made.

The food we were served in the evening was the food they had for lunch and then reheated for us. So the food in the evening was not very good and was not warm enough.
Great place, everything was good. Highly recommended, which both my partner and I will also do.

The food on the second day with Carbonara and uncrushed peppercorns wasn't exactly a hit. The view was superb, like sitting on a boat on a calm day, as we sat on the veranda.

Fantastic hotel, the hotel itself is part of an old castle, with its own little chapel, special rooms, a huge positive surprise - good sauna, great view and ideal for a walk in the area.

Beautiful location, lovely rooms. A lot of confusion at the reception. Dinner and breakfast could have been better. The staff was very friendly.

Everything was great, however the dinners included in the price were not satisfactory. I heard that Riskov only "invests" 100:- for the meal, which in the evening consisted of the day's lunch😡
