Dalmatia is located on the Adriatic Sea in southern Croatia. It has a fascinating history, beginning in ancient times, continuing through Roman times and on to modern times. Everywhere you look, you'll find sights that tell the story of the area's history and nature. The locals have an open mind, so you will feel welcome. The area is perfect for a beach holiday and a family holiday in one.
In the summer months, temperatures are pleasant from 27C to 33C and the water temperature averages 25C. Visit the city of Split, located directly on the Adriatic Sea and Croatia's second largest city. The city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, perhaps mainly because of Diocletian's Palace, which is certainly worth a visit. In a cold time, the thermal baths in Split are recommended. It is therefore also great to visit Croatia during both your summer and winter holidays.
Split's promenade lined with palm trees invites you for lovely walks on warm evenings. You can taste the gastronomic specialities or have a drink at one of the many beach bars and experience the folk life, dancers and musicians. In the city you can enjoy the unique scenery and centuries-old buildings with the peak of Majran mountain in the background. Risskov offers many cheap hotel stays with food in the area.
