Werrapark Resort Hotel Sommerberg is idyllically situated in the Thuringian Forest near Masserberg. Surrounded by meadows and forests, it is the perfect starting point for hikes, excursions or simply quiet days in the midst of nature. The rooms are comfortably furnished and ensure a cosy break. The hotel's own restaurant will spoil you from breakfast to dinner. Those who appreciate wellness or want to end the day in a more active way can use the wellness area and sports centre at the nearby partner hotel Werrapark Resort Hotel Heubacher Höhe. The hotel also has a bicycle and ski storage where you can safely store your equipment.
In the southern Thuringian Forest around Masserberg, relaxation close to nature meets active leisure fun. Hiking on the Rennsteig, cycling tours through dense forests or cross-country skiing in winter - exercise in the fresh air is guaranteed here. Masserberg is also known as a climatic health resort and offers ideal conditions for relaxing days. Those interested in culture will enjoy excursions to Meiningen, Suhl or the Schwarzatal valley. The Ratscher mountain lake is ideal for swimming and water sports in summer.

Hotel notes
From 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, you can enjoy a selection of drinks included in the all-inclusive package.
Guests also enjoy free access to the sports facilities and wellness area (including an indoor pool and sauna) at the nearby Sportcenter Werrapark, located approximately 3 km from the hotel.
Please note that the first service included in your package on the day of arrival is dinner, and the last included service on the day of departure is breakfast.
From 01.01.2027:
Soft drinks are included only during meals. They are available at breakfast, lunch (with the soup), and dinner.
Outside meal times, the beverage dispensers are switched off and complimentary soft drinks are not available.
The parking fee is €5.00 per car per night.

At the Werrapark Resort Sommerberg, no overnight stay and no catering were possible. Closed due to migrants. We were then accommodated at the Werrapark Resort in Heubach. Accommodation and catering were top-notch. Very friendly reception and very courteous service. A beautiful starting point for hikes and excursions.
