The 4-star Landhotel Kastanienallee offers a wonderful stay with a good combination of relaxation, romance and lots of stunning scenery. The family-run hotel consists of 7 charming thatched cottages surrounded by a 10,000 m² garden, and is located a short distance from the beach on Germany's largest island, Rügen. Here you can pamper yourself with wellness, homely cosiness and a myriad of activities and adventures just nearby.
About the hotel
The hotel is, in itself, a very special experience, as it is actually a resort consisting of seven charming thatched cottages, carefully built into a 10,000 m² garden. Here you can feel wonderfully away from it all, yet still within easy reach of plenty to see and do in the area, such as the famous cliffs of the UNESCO-listed Jasmund National Park, the beautiful area around Hiddensee and the charming town of Stralsund, the 'Gateway to Rügen'.
Guests at the Landhotel Kastanienallee can enjoy the lovely wellness area, perfect for relaxation and unwinding. The wellness area includes an indoor swimming pool, a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna. The swimming pool is open for access every day from 7:00-21:00. The saunas can be switched on upon request, and can also be used until 21:00.
A good and varied buffet breakfast is served every morning in the hotel's cosy surroundings, and in the evening you can enjoy regional as well as international cuisine in the atmospheric restaurant.
Rooms
Rooms are set in the 7 thatched cottages that the hotel has. All rooms have a private bathroom and toilet and are equipped with a flat-screen TV.
The hotel's standard double rooms are approximately 18 m² and are located on the 3rd floor and all have sloping walls.
The hotel's comfort rooms are located on the 2nd floor, are approximately 35 m² and furnished with a separate living room and bedroom. Extra beds are available in the comfort rooms.
You will have free access to wireless internet during your stay.

A very good location if someone needs pure tranquility. 3 different meals to choose from in the half board, drinks a bit too expensive. Friendly staff, some communication difficulties due to non-German speaking employees. Rooms clean, swimming pool adequate. Nicely designed outdoor area, well-maintained.
Good starting point for hikes right from the hotel.
We were there for the 2nd time, would recommend it further.
