Kurhotel Sassnitz

Baltic Sea holidays on Germany's largest island: discover Rügen during a stay at the extraordinary Kurhotel Sassnitz!

About the hotel

The Kurhotel Sassnitz is located directly above the harbour and thus offers a great view of the hustle and bustle in the harbour and the Baltic Sea towards Sweden. Housed in an old sailor's home, it combines nautical tradition with modern maritime flair in a very special way. The building itself impresses with its sophisticated architecture, while the facilities leave nothing to be desired during your holiday. Recharge your batteries for an exciting day on the island at the lavish breakfast buffet and enjoy regional specialities in the evening in the rustic hotel restaurant Bi'n Fischer. For relaxation, visit the spa and wellness area of the sister hotel ‘Rügen’ just 50 metres away, which you can use free of charge every day (from 1st of October 2025).

Surrounded by breathtaking nature and maritime flair, Sassnitz is the perfect starting point for unforgettable experiences. Explore the Jasmund National Park with the famous chalk cliffs and the majestic Königsstuhl or stroll along the longest outdoor pier in Europe with a view of the Baltic Sea. Whether it's an excursion to Cape Arkona, a hike through the ancient beech forests of the UNESCO World Heritage Site or a relaxing day on the fine sandy beach - Sassnitz offers the right holiday experience for everyone. The nearby Baltic seaside resort of Binz with its historic spa architecture and elegant pier is also well worth a day trip. Treat yourself to fresh fish in the harbour restaurants and enjoy the picturesque coastal atmosphere.
