Lunch boxes were supposed to be included in the price. There were neither bags nor paper to take a packed lunch with. So a German took a folded baguette in hand... 🙄 It was a bit pathetic.

This 4-star hotel is located about 50 km east of Hamburg, surrounded by meadows, forests and lakes. The hotel's cosy atmosphere and family-friendly rooms make it a very desirable place to stay. The hotel is ideal for a short break in the beautiful nature of Schleswig-Holstein.

The Hotel Waldhof auf Herrenland is well located almost right in the woods, surrounded by nature and not far from Mölln city centre, which is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere and a nice and cosy rural decor.
Try the Waldhof Restaurant, which sets a good standard for the culinary experience with its regional cuisine and fresh products and raw materials from Schleswig-Holstein as well as wonderful wines specially selected by the hotel's Maître. Enjoy a drink before or after dinner around the warm fireplace or in the lounge overlooking the park. A German-style breakfast buffet is also available.
The hotel rents out bicycles and there is free parking on site and good connections to both Lübeck and Hamburg.
If you bring bikes or e-bikes, the hotel offers a garage space for them.
Rooms
The hotel's single, double and family rooms all have their own bathroom with shower and toilet and hairdryer. Entertainment is provided by a TV with a good selection of channels, and free WiFi is of course available. Rooms are located on the first and second floors and there is no lift.

It was a really nice stay, and they took into account, among other things, food allergies.
