Therme Amadé Spa
Therme Amadé Spa is a 30,000 square metre water park with spa and wellness, surrounded by Altenmarkt's alpine landscape. There is an extensive range of sauna and aquatic experiences. Most of the pools are indoors, and then there are two outdoor pools that are connected. The pleasant water temperature makes the Herme Amadé Spa an ideal place to relax all year round.
The water is infused with medicinal salts from the famous salt mine at Bad Ischl. Most of the pools contain 1.5 - 2.5% salt water, which is known to have a positive effect on the skin.
Radstadt
In summer, you'll find a range of activities. For those who like nature and being active, a large number of well-marked hiking trails await you in the area, and for mountain bikers there are 500 km of signposted trails. If you're not into hilly terrain on your bike, there are plenty of options too. For example, take a bike ride on the 250 km Ennsradweg, which runs through the valley.
In winter, the town is a skier's paradise. The area with the centre of Ski Amadé offers, no less, 760 km of ski slopes with 270 modern ski lifts. You will also find 150 km of cross-country ski runs and an ice rink.
Historic Radstadt also has something to offer culture lovers as a member of the 'Historic Towns of Austria'. Several cultural and traditional festivals are held here, as well as arts and crafts markets.
Radstadt Golf Club
The Radstadt golf course is truly surrounded by magnificent nature and with incredible panoramic views. On one side the Radstädter Tauern with its sloping peaks is enthroned, and on the other side lies the Dachstein. Between the forests and overlooking the medieval town is an excellent 18-hole championship course with challenges of every kind. Try the beautiful mountain golf course and of course the famous 'Birdie Jet' between the 11th and 12th hole.

Mandlberggut is reachable via a scenic and accessible hike—known as the Mandling Trail—from Radstadt, or by bike on easy mountain paths offering views of the Enns valley and alpine forests.
Grießenkareck
A ride in the gondola 'The Flying Mozart' is an impressive experience, with a breathtaking view of Wagrain and the surrounding areas. The cable car has a single stop midway, at 1,250 metres on the way up to Grießenkareck, which is the final stop, at the foot of Grießenkareck at 1,850 metres. The alpine area Kogelalm is located at the terminus and there are both restaurants and several huts. Also take the trip to the beautiful mountain lake Rupertisee, which is located at 1,850 metres.
Bring your bikes and discover the beautiful countryside close by or use your walking legs and take some of the many hiking trails marked in the area.
Hohenwerfen Castle
On a driving holiday to the beautiful area of Werfen in Austria, you can visit Burg Hohenwerfen, which sits high above the town, surrounded by beautiful scenery and mountains. From the castle there is an unforgettable view of the Salzach valley. Burg Hohenwerfen dates back to around the 11th century. In 1931 it was partially destroyed by a fire, but it was then rebuilt. The network of passageways in the caves stretches for over 42 km, the largest of which, about 1 km long, has several huge ice figures. Sankt Johann in the Pongau

Liechtenstein Gorge
Liechtensteinklamm is one of the Alps’ most dramatic natural attractions, located near St. Johann im Pongau in Salzburg. This gorge stretches roughly 4 km long with canyon walls rising up to 300 m high—some sections narrow to just a few meters. Visitors can explore a 1 km accessible pathway of wooden walkways, bridges, tunnels, and the impressive 30-meter “Helix” spiral staircase added after recent renovations. The trail leads to a waterfall and offers views that feel both powerful and peaceful thanks to misty air, mossy cliffs, and cascading streams.
Russbach
The Hornbahn in Russbach takes you easily and straightforwardly up to 1450 metres altitude on the Hornspitz, where you'll find numerous hiking trails suitable for both children and adults. On the hiking trails you can admire the mountain panorama, Dachstein glacier, Gosaukamm ridge and Tennengebirge mountain range.
The yellow Ameisenexpress takes you through gently undulating Alpine terrain to Edtalmhütte, where you can re-energise with a traditional Austrian meal. There are plenty of hiking adventures for the kids and playgrounds in Bruno's mountain world. Emma, the giant ant, always looks forward to visitors. The alpine garden hides many treasures, while the swing forest and Bruno's giant slide invite children to have fun. Adults, meanwhile, can relax at the cosy panorama lounges or enjoy coffee and cake on the sun terrace.
The mountain railway Russbach, also called "Hornbahn" by the locals, is located in the centre of the Dachstein West hiking region in Tennengau. The station is just a 6-minute walk from Russbach town centre and makes the ascent to the Hornspitz a breeze. It's a great place to start for hikers or if you just want to go for a walk.

The Gosaukammbahn railway runs from Lake Gosausee up to the green meadows of Zwieselalm, which offer stunning views of the impressive rugged Gosaukamm ridge, the crystal-clear Gosausee and the Gosau glacier. Zwieselalm offers good marked trails, suitable for strollers, across alpine meadows and through green mountain forests to some welcoming alpine huts. Experienced mountaineers will be just as satisfied here as leisure hikers or those more passionate about Alpine cuisine. There's no risk of getting lost on the well-signposted trails. One of the most popular trails leads up to the summit of Grosser Donnerkogel, from where there are great views. On the way up to Grosser Donnerkogel, you'll pass some rugged and dramatic limestone formations.
