Room cleaning was fine. A lot of weeds outside, as well as glasses etc. They were not removed from the outdoor tables at night.

The hotel appears a little worn, but has a cosy restaurant and good, spacious rooms. The breakfast buffet is top-notch. The half-board option is top-notch.

The Hotel Holsteinisches Haus in Friedrichstadt is one of our bestsellers and not without reason. The family-run hotel is located down by the canals in charming Friedrichstadt and on first visit you will fall in love with Friedrichstadt.

About the hotel

Hotel Holsteinisches Haus is a cosy family hotel run by generations of the Clausen family since 1928. The hotel's newly renovated restaurant serves traditional German home cooking and of course breakfast, which is included in the price. If you are leaving early, you can also have a packed lunch.

Centrally located in Friedrichstadt, right by the water, the hotel is a great base for exploring Friedrichstadt and the surrounding area, or just passing through and looking for a good, affordable place to stay.

The hotel garden is also open to guests and in the evening you can end the day in the hotel bar. When the sun is shining, you can also enjoy it on the hotel's terrace right by the water.

Free parking is available in a short distance from the hotel. The WiFi network at the hotel is also included in the room rate. Pets are allowed in the hotel but upon request.

Rooms

The rooms are simple but appealing & comfortably furnished - you will feel comfortable. All rooms are newly renovated. They have a pleasant décor and then the windows are soundproofed. The rooms have a private bathroom with shower and toilet, hairdryer. There is also SAT TV.
