Hotel Holsteinisches Haus is a cosy family hotel run by generations of the Clausen family since 1928. The hotel's newly renovated restaurant serves traditional German home cooking and of course breakfast, which is included in the price. If you are leaving early, you can also have a packed lunch.
Centrally located in Friedrichstadt, right by the water, the hotel is a great base for exploring Friedrichstadt and the surrounding area, or just passing through and looking for a good, affordable place to stay.
The hotel garden is also open to guests and in the evening you can end the day in the hotel bar. When the sun is shining, you can also enjoy it on the hotel's terrace right by the water.
Free parking is available in a short distance from the hotel. The WiFi network at the hotel is also included in the room rate. Pets are allowed in the hotel but upon request.
Rooms
The rooms are simple but appealing & comfortably furnished - you will feel comfortable. All rooms are newly renovated. They have a pleasant décor and then the windows are soundproofed. The rooms have a private bathroom with shower and toilet, hairdryer. There is also SAT TV.

The hotel has a great location and is only 5 minutes from the station. The train to Husum takes just under 10 minutes. We stayed at the top with a view of the canal. The only negative was the long staircase up. The hotel offered a good breakfast, and the three-course dinner menu in the evening was very good. The serving staff were nice and helpful. No problem with arranging an alternative menu for allergies.
