About the hotel

Hotel Badehaus Goor enjoys a remarkable waterfront setting in Lauterbach, a small harbour village on the southeast coast of Rügen Island. Originally built in the early 19th century as a royal bathhouse, the listed building still reflects the island's elegant spa heritage. Surrounded by parkland and overlooking Greifswald Bay, the hotel offers a peaceful base for discovering Putbus, the Baltic coast and the many natural attractions that have made Rügen one of Germany's most popular holiday destinations.

About the hotel

One of the hotel's defining features is its historic colonnade, which stretches towards the water and gives the property a distinctive character rarely found elsewhere on Rügen. Inside, the atmosphere is calm rather than formal, with spacious lounges, light-filled interiors and plenty of places to slow down after a day of sightseeing.

The wellness area is another highlight, featuring a generous indoor swimming pool, several saunas, relaxation rooms and wellness treatments. Whether you spend the day exploring the island or simply enjoying the hotel, it is easy to set aside a few hours for complete relaxation. Bathrobes, slippers and towels are provided for use in the spa.

Each morning begins with an extensive breakfast buffet, while the restaurant serves seasonal dishes inspired by regional ingredients alongside international favorites. During warmer months, meals and drinks can also be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the surrounding greenery.

The location makes it easy to experience some of Rügen's best-known sights. The elegant white town of Putbus is only a short distance away, while Lauterbach harbor is the departure point for boat trips across Greifswald Bay. The historic Rasender Roland steam railway stops nearby, offering a memorable journey through the island's landscapes. Beaches, cycling routes, coastal walks and nature reserves are all within easy reach, making Hotel Badehaus Goor an excellent choice whether you prefer active days or quiet moments by the Baltic Sea.

Rooms

The rooms are decorated in a timeless style that complements the historic character of the hotel. All feature free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. Depending on the room category, you can choose accommodation with a balcony and/or views of Greifswald Bay.
