Lovely stay, good large rooms on the first floor – and the food was good and delicious. However, the four-course dinner was a little too long, as there was also a very large party at the same time.

Friendly staff, good food and a great location when passing from Sweden to Germany. I would gladly recommend the place and we will return.

Fangel Kro and Hotel is located in the heart of Funen, in an idyllic setting just south of Odense. The new hosts, Carina and Heidi, have now opened the doors and welcome guests to new experiences at this traditional inn. With Fangel Kro and Hotel as your relaxing base, you have the whole beautiful island within easy reach – not least the fairytale city of Odense, where there is no shortage of things to experience. Visit the H.C. Andersen House, explore one of Europe’s best zoos, discover Kerteminde or head out into the beautiful Funen countryside and enjoy the view from the island’s highest point.

Fangel Kro has been given a new lease of life! With Heidi in the kitchen, you can look forward to a gastronomic inn stay where classic Danish cuisine is served at its best. Heidi has worked her magic in the kitchen at Fangel Kro for more than 20 years, and guests love her cooking. She is dedicated to quality and honest food and has a special talent for bringing out the very best flavours in every dish. As a guest, you can also enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, giving you a great start before exploring fairytale Funen or following in H.C. Andersen’s footsteps through Odense.

In the restaurant, you will be welcomed by Carina, whom many may know from places such as Falsled Kro and Hindsgavl Slot. She is a highly skilled waitress who, with warmth, confidence and a twinkle in her eye, makes sure you always feel welcome and well looked after.

At Fangel Kro, you can enjoy a traditional inn experience where a cosy atmosphere, quality ingredients and personal hospitality take centre stage.
