In the evening, Restaurant Achterdeck serves international specialities and the best regional delicacies from Schleswig-Holstein. The kitchen has a creative approach to the menus and with a beautiful view of the Kiel Canal, you are guaranteed a nice and cosy meal.
The hotel also has a sauna and relaxation area where you can rest your feet after a long day in Rendsburg visiting museums, restaurants, shopping and lovely walks in the charming garrison town. Eckernförde and Kiel are not far away End your day in the hotel's bar.
The hotel has free WiFi and also offers free parking to its guests. Bicycles can also be rented at the hotel between April and October.

The hotel has a perfect location right by the Kiel Canal. The rooms are pleasantly bright, well furnished and spacious. They are also very well equipped and offer a wonderful view of the canal.
It is incredibly cosy to sit overlooking the canal and watch both large and small ships sail past. Especially in the afternoon, it was a pleasure to sit and enjoy a glass of wine whilst following life on the canal.
The staff were generally very sweet, friendly and welcoming, and we felt well received. However, there was a slight shortage of staff in the restaurant, which sometimes made it difficult for them to serve all guests properly.
All in all, a really lovely hotel with a fantastic location and a wonderful atmosphere. The view of the Kiel Canal and the many ships sailing past is certainly one of the things that makes the stay especially enjoyable.

Despite a lovely experience, we feel a bit ripped off. When we booked, we were told there were no 3-bed rooms. We were 9 people, so we booked 5 double rooms. When we got our rooms, one of them had 3 beds, so if we had known that in advance, we could have managed with 4 rooms. So, we feel a bit cheated. However, this doesn't stop us from booking with you again, as we always feel we receive really good service.

Convent Garden is a nice hotel to stay at for a few days. However, the breakfast buffet is a bit sparse, but the dinner in the evening was very good, especially when we were served schnitzel. The hotel is beautifully situated right by the Kiel Canal, and seeing the large container ships pass right outside the hotel window enhances the experience of the hotel.
