Find a cheap summer holiday in the south at Risskov and take the whole family to one of the islands that make up Halligen. A 'hallig' in English, 'hallingen' in German, is an uninhibited island and there are 10 of them, and they can be visited if the trip goes to Nordfriesland in northern Germany. There are ten German halliger in the 'Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park' and they are only a few metres above sea level and can be completely flooded by storm surges or tides. The Halligen can be reached by car or ferry. Visit Gröde, Oland, Langeneß or Hoge with Risskov and also find child-friendly hotels nearby. There is plenty of information on how to get across to the islands in the local areas. It's really worth the trip to visit the Halligen area and the many low-lying islands.
