Vats Fjellstue

Vats Fjellstue is a charming small hotel, located in Ål north of Geilo in Norway. The hotel is brand new and run by two families who have come together with the idea and dream of creating a pleasant holiday experience for guests who come to the area from near and far. Located a short distance from the family-friendly ski centre, Skarslia Ski and Akesenter, the hotel offers a great base for an affordable family ski holiday in Norway.

About the hotel

During your stay at Vats Fjellstue, you can enjoy a game of table tennis and relax together in the lounge, which also has a TV. There is also a small indoor play area for the children to enjoy.

The nearby ski area, Skarslia, offers good conditions for cross-country skiing, alpine skiing and tobogganing, and there are children's slopes, beginner slopes and slopes for the more experienced. Several of Skarslia's lifts start right next to the hotel. In addition to Skarslia, you will also find Ål Skisenter within a short distance and here too there are excellent conditions for skiing and winter activities for the whole family.

In summer, both the hotel's surroundings and the surrounding area are ideal for an active holiday with plenty of wonderful walks and fishing trips in the countryside. There are several national parks in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and it is also possible to ride horses at Gjeldokk Hestesenter, with which the hotel has a partnership.
