About the hotel

The cosy hotel is located in the centre of the maritime Swedish town of Motala, with many charming shops, restaurants and cafés on the doorstep. Guests have been staying here since 1961, and in recent years the hotel has been carefully renovated, with the result that today the décor and atmosphere of the hotel is in wonderful harmony with the maritime character of the town.

You'll be just a short walk from the town's charming harbour, where you'll find Motala Motormuseum, Scandinavia's most popular motor museum and home to a large collection of nostalgic artefacts. Overnight guests at Hotell City Motala have free access to the museum, so you should definitely take advantage of this. You also have the lovely Varamon Beach, situated on the shores of Lake Vättern, within a short distance.
