The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature and guests benefit from their long tradition of running a top class hotel. The Geilo Hotel was the first hotel in town and opened its doors for the very first time in 1880. People have come here for generations to enjoy the outdoors and socialise with good Norwegian food and drink. Geilo Hotel has a great location close to the ski lifts and slopes in Geilo and is perfect for a ski holiday in Norway.
The hotel's dining is done in old Norwegian farmhouse style with wide, solid long tables and rose motifs and antlers on the walls. The restaurant serves traditional food and can seat 180 guests. Geilo Hotel also has a bar which is open every day until 02:00. Right next to the bar is a cosy fireplace lounge with comfortable furniture and the possibility to borrow various board games. It's great to settle down in the cosy surroundings after a long, active day on the slopes.
Most of the hotel's rooms were renovated in 2017. The rooms are modern and tastefully decorated with views either over Ustedalsfjorden or over the ski slopes and Geilotoppen. All rooms have a TV, ironing board, private bathroom with shower and hairdryer.
