When you finally arrive in Holbaek, you will notice that the town has both the charm of a village and the atmosphere of a more modern town. If you come in May, you may be able to experience the thrilling but eerie experience of Denmark's occupation. Here there will be crowds of German troops, checkpoints and raids. Fortunately, it all ends with the liberation of Denmark, where you can see the British troops enter, followed by a parade.
